If you’re unable to make it to the ballot to vote Tuesday August 12th, you’ve got two options!
Option 1: Early Voting at City Hall
If you can’t make it out to vote August 12th, this is my favorite option of all. You can actually just swing by city hall and vote early.
Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm and they already have a table setup to vote – making it easy, fast, convenient, and accessible in case you have to be out of town or aren’t able to make it out to vote on election day.

You can contact the City Clerk – 763-767-6493, and Deputy Clerk – 763-767-6432 with questions. The city clerk
Option 2: Absentee Voting via Paper Ballot in the Mail
You can request a FREE ballot be mailed to your house. For general information about voting in Minnesota, you can go to www.mnvotes.org.
For a direct link to request a ballot be mailed to you (free of charge), you can <click here> or copy/paste this link: https://mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us/ABRegistration/ABRegistrationStep1.aspx
Last Chance Option: Tuesday August 12th In-Person Voting 7am-8pm
This last option isn’t absentee voting but seems worth mentioning. If you’d like to vote at your regular polling place specifically on August 12th, click here or copy/paste this link http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/Street.aspx?ModeType=2&CountyName=Anoka&CountyId=2 to find your polling location / details and download a sample ballot with all of the different candidate options.
Please note – on August 12th you must vote at your specific polling location not city hall. During primaries there aren’t usually long lines but if you can go between 9am-3pm you’ll have the shortest line (if any!)
